While moving a piano is complex, it doesn't have to be an ordeal.  Our goal is to make your piano move easy on you and your piano.  

PLANNING & COMMUNICATION ARE ESSENTIAL

The best move is a well-planned move.  Before we even set foot at your house, we have planned your specific move with information that we may ask you during scheduling.  This helps us arrive with exactly the right equipment and crew for your specific needs.  

When we arrive at your location, we will explore all possible avenues in/out of the building, make a final move plan, and walk through the plan with the entire crew.  

During the move, we are in constant communication with one another, to ensure that we are operating as a singular, cohesive unit.  

PHYSICS FIRST!

Did you ever wonder in school, "When am I ever going to use this in real life?"  We definitely did!  But the answer is, We use physics EVERY DAY!  You may have heard tales from friends and neighbors about the 5 body-builders they needed to even move the piano out of their house.  While strength is needed, moving your instrument is not all about brute force.  We embody the phrase, "Work smarter, not harder."  By understanding and using physics during your move, we reduce the impact on your piano, your house, and our movers.  Its a win-win all around.  

WE DESIGN & BUILD OUR OWN EQUIPMENT

With the science of moving in mind, we have designed, built, or modified much of our equipment to be perfect for moving the piano which is more than just a piece of furniture.  

WHY WE DON'T USE A BIG BOX TRUCK

Most, if not all, movers will show up with a big box truck to move your piano, so why don't we?   

• TOO MUCH TRUCK.  During most piano moves, we load a single item (your piano) on our truck and move it to another location.  Box trucks are a lot more truck than what we need to move your piano.  A box truck would add expensive operating costs to our overhead both in initial purchase price and in low gas mileage which would translate to increased fees to you, the customer.    
• HIGH DOCK HEIGHT.  Box trucks either have a tall ramp to get your piano on the truck or they employ costly lift gates.  By using a vehicle that is low to the ground, we reduce the force needed to load the piano or the operating expense to operate a lift-gate, making our moving both easier AND less expensive.  
• FLEXIBILITY.  By using cargo trailers instead of box trucks we have the flexibility to adapt how we travel.  For larger jobs, we have our larger trailer.  For smaller jobs, we have our smaller and more fuel efficient trailer (perfect for fitting in tight spots in the city).  And for jobs that don't require a trailer,  such as in-home piano moves, we can leave the trailer behind and increase our fuel efficiency.

We pride ourselves on being a different kind of moving crew.  Our focus is on the health and well-being of your piano as an instrument.  Many movers may be skilled in moving and know a little bit about the piano, but as a technician and rebuilder, Mark has the knowledge and expertise about the mechanical aspects of the piano to ensure a safe move and to make small adjustments after delivery to make sure it was playing exactly as it was prior to the move.    We strive to complete each move with professionalism and care for your piano and property as if it were our own. 

MOVING & SERVICE ALL IN ONE!

Are you looking for a move and your piano could use some work?  In many circumstances, we can perform work in your home after the move.  In other situations, we can plan a layover at our shop  for service and then deliver your piano with most, if not all, the service complete.  (Some minor service and regulation is best accomplished with the piano in its new location).

SCHEDULING OPTIONS 7-DAYS A WEEK

Many don't offer service on weekends or its a premium expense.  We offer flexible scheduling with no increased cost including evenings and weekends.  

WE ALWAYS CALL/TEXT AHEAD

No more waiting 12 - 4pm  for the elusive service professional.  We try to approximate an hour window the day before.  Not only will we call or text if a previous service or traffic delays us, but we always call or text with a more  exact time from our GPS as soon as we are on our way to you.  Usually,  we can provide 20 - 60 minutes advanced notice of our more exact arrival time.   So go ahead and go for that walk or do those errands.  You don't have to hang around waiting for us.
